About the Tests
Progress Monitoring

FAST Progress Monitoring assessments are conducted three times per year - PM1 in the Fall, PM2 in the Winter, and PM3 in the Spring - and is used to measure student progress and growth throughout the school year.

All 9th and 10th grade students enrolled in English I or English II are required to participate.
Reading Retake
-
The Reading Retake is a re-administration of PM3, which is a graduation requirement.

11th and 12th grade students who have not received a passing score are required to participate until they pass.
EOC Retake

The EOC Retake is a re-administration of the following assessments - Algebra I, Biology, US History, and Geometry. The Algebra I EOC is a graduation requirement.

11th and 12th grade students who have not received a passing Algebra I EOC score are required to participate.

Students who completed a course with an EOC through FLVS can sign up to participate in the retake administration by completing the following MS form Fall EOC Retake – Fill out form
ASVAB

The Career Exploration Assessment (ASVAB) is a multiple-aptitude test that measures abilities in areas like math, verbal skills, science, mechanics, and electronics. Students can also use the results of this test to determine enlistment eligibility into the US military.

10th-12th grade students can sign up to participate by completing the following MS form Career Exploration Assessment (ASVAB) – Fill out form
PSAT

The PSAT is a digital standardized test administered by the College Board and is designed as practice for the SAT and also serves as a qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

All 10th grade students, and 11th grade students who are enrolled in AP Lit, are automatically registered to participate.

All other students are able to sign up to participate by paying a $20.00 testing fee and completing the following MS form PSAT Sign-Up – Fill out form

FLVS, LCVS, and Homeschool students can also participate by paying a $20.00 testing fee and completing the following MS form PSAT Sign-Up – Fill out form
FCLE

The Florida Civic Literacy Exam is a required test for students enrolled in US Government.

Students who are enrolled in a US Government class are automatically registered to participate.
Concordant Scores
Juniors and Seniors who have not received a passing score on the 10th grade Progress Monitoring assessment and/or Algebra I EOC can participate in the following assessments to gain a concordant score:
